MIDI Strummer is an AUv3 plugin that aims to replicate guitar strumming and picking techniques, generating MIDI note data for external synths or the internal soundfont engine.
The integrated soundfont player supports the import of .SF2 and .DLS soundfonts as sound sources. MIDI Strummer boasts 16 customizable chord pads, facilitating the storage of chord sequences triggered remotely via MIDI or through direct pad interaction.
Pattern editing functionality enables the creation of picking or strumming patterns, transposable to the selected chord pad. In Song mode, users can string together these chord patterns to construct songs merging both picking and strumming elements. The option to enable 6/12-string simulations adds depth to specific parts.
Furthermore, Strummer incorporates various audio effects, such as overdrive, distortion, tremolo, chorus, phaser, graphic EQ, digital delay, and reverb, enhancing output from the soundfont player.
